Question about 1998 Oldsmobile 88
The plugs are good. The check engine light comes on and off. Occasionally it smells like gas. It stalls at almost every stop.
Check and clean the IAC valve. Idle Control Valve. Use brake cleaner or carburater cleaner . Remove the duct work from the air filter assembly. It is located just inside . Run the engine at 1200 rpms and spray the valve. The valve can also be removed and cleaned.

Throttle position sensor. If it isnt reading right voltage, can cause car high idle, die at idle,rough idle, run rich.
