Question about 2005 Renault 181

Clio 182 2005 Coil? Fuse blowing regular (30a blade under bonnet)

Drive along the car cuts out and stops, engine will turn but not fire.
Everytime this happens, a 30a fuse in the main fuse box (under the bonnet, not in the car) it doesnt say anywhere what this fuse is actually for, but i am guessing it is for the coil pack! Any clues as to why this keeps blowing?? Many thanks

How do u know that the engine is not firing? What about the housing cover where the fuse is being housed? There is ususally a schematic diagram for the fuses there or, at the back of it. There u will know the type of fuse that is always being blown. If any queries, u should probably check an auto electrician

Car motor will not turn over when attempting to start. Electricity (fire) is going to starter but not to solenoid wire. What is the problem?

In the under-hood fuse block, there is a START 1 relay that provides power to the solenoid. There is a START circuit breaker (30A) that goes thru the closed contacts of that relay to activate the solenoid. The relay coil is powered from the PCM IGN Fuse (10A). All are located in the under-hood fuse box. See attached circuit diagram for assistance.

Put new battery in now car does nothing....no power going to car at all. not able to jump...no lights...no start...nothing. located relay box and cross-over wire burned out and one red square fuse. how...

Hi there,

Sounds like your Main 30A Fuse Link (i.e. hot at all times) or an in-line fuse may have blown, during cable connection (or due to incorrect jump starting).

First, follow the RED + battery cable from the battery and check if there is an in-line fuse along the cable - replace if blown.

The Main 30A (depending on model) Fuse is situated up in the engine bay fuse box.

These fuses carry a lot of current and hence, are usually secured into the fuse box by either large screws or 8-10mm bolts. Look for the mounting screws/bolts on the side of the blown fuse (you may have to undo another component to gain access to your main fuse).

Make sure the battery is disconnected BEFORE you attempt to replace any fuses.

Good luck..

Car cut off now there is no spark the main fuse in the car is a 30A is it suppose to 100A

If you are talking about the main battery fuse in the number 23 position in the fuse box under the hood (see picture below) it should be an 80 amp fuse. If it is a canadian model vehicle then yes, it should be a 100 amp fuse. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Hi there, i have a 1991 Izuzu mu, 2.8 turbo. Everytime i turn the key on the glowlight or glowplug fuse keeps blowing. Its on the inside of the car not the bigger one under the bonnet?

There will be a relay that switches the power to the glowplugs on and off, probably mounted in the fuse/relay box near the big fuse under the bonnet. Check this relay and associated wiring for a short circuit to ground

Where can I locate the fuse box for my 2003 Hyundai Elantra?

You can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace. There is another fuse box under the bonnet as well, usually behind battery, black plastic cover.
