Question about 1996 Toyota Corolla

1996 Corolla DX runs cold

I've a 1996 corolla dx with 138K miles on it. Over the past few months, it seems to run cool/cold. Sometimes under a lot of stop and go,
it gets to what used to be normal operating. Also the gas mileage has gone down to about 30 mpg from about 35mpg.

1996 toyoya corolla DX gas gauge and fuel pump quit

The gauge and the pump are on two different circuits, so no relay for both.
It sounds like you lost the ground circuit to the tank, or something happened to the harness connector at the tank.

Have the garage run the engine diagnostic test. If all the sensors are okay then ask them to check the throttle and engine for contamination. The latter doe not show on the computer.

How many quarts of oil does a Corolla Dx hold at oil change?

4 quarts, 5 with filter change according to the book. Rule of thumb, buy 5 and once you drain and replace the filter, start by putting 3 and a half quarts in and check the level. If it's between the marks start the motor and run for 5 minutes then let it sit for 5 minutes and recheck the level. Top off half a quart at a time till you get the oil level between the full and add marks.

Toyota Corolla DX 97 Engine Light EGR valve PLEASE HELP

You can try cleaning the EGR valve and passages with Seafoam. A bottle costs just a few dollars at any auto parts store or discount store. With the engine running, squirt/spray it in through the brake booster hose, or through the PCV hose. This will cause smoke to come out the exhaust. This is normal and will disappear after a few minutes. If Seafoam does not do the trick, then you can still disassemble the EGR valve from the throttle body and clean it with throttle body cleaner.
