Can't get iPod to play through factory sound system, pls help

Greetings, my tblazer ext has the Bose system with the rear enteraintment system (RSE), the DVD located on the overhead between the two front seats has 3 RCA input jacks which everyone tells me I can use to connect my iPod, but nothing plays when I use a RCA to 1/8in adapter, turn on the dvd player/rse/aux function on the head unit. CC installers told me they would have to disconnect my RSE to add a cable to play my Ipod. Is this the only way other than through FM interference? Is there a hiddin USB or 1/8in adapter hidden under the tblazer consoles or gloveboxes that I haven't found yet? please advise, thank you in advance, pete

I tried that. thank you for the input though. I'm now thinking maybe I need one of those iPod car kits rather than the simple cable they showed me at CC which they said would disconnect the rear entertainment system. Will prob check BB tomorrow if tonight's icestorm isn't too bad.

Problem solved, it was a matter of making sure the sources all agreed at the upper and lower rear consoles and then with the lower console powered off, the iPod is controled at the head unit and heard just like any other part of the system. However, stock system only plays whatever is selected, the head unit does nother more than amplify and control the volume. It does not read the iPod as do some of the iPod 'ready' after market or newer factory systems. Thanks again for all your time and help. regards... -j

I simply cannot get my ipod to play through the audio RCA jacks in the rear entertainment system of a 2005 Sierra. It seems like it should be a no-brainer but the source never selects to auxillary on the rear unit.

How do I remove the rear climate control overhead to troubleshoot/replace?

You didn't state a year. But all overhead parts that I have pulled, just pop out. Held in with clips. On some older models you have to open doors and find the screws to take the whole console down. Screws out and it hinges down and out.

The dvd is asking for a pass code, is there one>

no, That's a firmware issue. You'll have to take it to a Volvo repair shop and have them update the firmware. They should have received a DVD with an update program on it.

How do i remove my present onstar system and replace it with a digital system? Also whete is my current onstar system peices located st so i can remove them? 2002 buick rendezvous cx.

The Vehicle interface unit VIU and the Vehicle control unit VCU and the receiver is located behind the glove box in the passenger footwell. the onstar button is located int he overhead console. the modules are vin specific so they cant be swapped out without GM. you can remove them I have a 02 and since its no longer supported by onstar i yanked out the VIU and VCU and the cell phone receiver. then took the GPS transponder off the front driver side of the windshield and the rear attenna off the back glass and got an overhead console minus onstar and put it up. They unplug and cause no problems The fuse is fuse 32. The actual guts of the Onstar system is in the frontmost overhead compartment that is between the driver and passenger seats. However, if the option wasn't purchased you'll just have an extra slot for sunglasses.

2007 Chevy Uplander Rear Overhead A/C Vents Won't Work

Have you checked the Aux switch near the bottom of the center control console.
There should be a knob with: Aux, Off, 1, 2, 3. This is the switch for the rear AC blower.
If the driver wants to control the rear AC, use the 1, 2, 3 settings.
If you put it on Aux, Than the rear AC is controlled by the passenger in the back seat using the extra controls located on the Overhead DVD player. (The front AC must be on the rear to work)
