The battery is flat. Recharge, check charging voltage, and for parasitic voltage drain and replace if necessary. Don't replace the battery until you are certain you have no large amp drain from any faulty systems on the car. If your battery is around four years old or older then you may as well change it anyway however as batteries tend to start failing at that age.
In the fuse relay box under the hood, there is a 40 amp fuse in there that controls the starting system. This has blown a couple of times over 4-5 years. Just replace the fuse and the car will start.
Keep an extra in the glovebox.

could be a weak fuel pump or mostly plugged fuel filter check at the engines fuel rail for fuel pressure after you start it and it dies...if no pressure or low pressure, start with the filter, its cheaper.the humming is your fuel pump and that is normal.

If your car dies suddenly and otherwise runs fine, the root of the problem is an electrical problem or electronics/computer related. Even though it could be a fuel shut off that caused the car to stop. The "brain" controls ignition and fuel thus my assessment. Have the codes read to see if a problem is indicated with the computer or sensors. Since it is an intermittant problem, it is possible your code reads will still be normal. Check all connections if you don't get a coded problem. Good Luck!
