2002 toyota landcruiser ute RV. Intake shutter valve fault

Engine light came on, so it was taken to toyota to be resolved. They told me it was a code 33.3 intake shutter problem and they couldnt find a fault, they reset it and billed me for services. 3 days later it came on again, i checked sensor and operation of valve seemed fine and sensor was reciving 12 volts. i disconnected battery, which reset it and it came on again a week later

I have a 1998 Toyota Landcruiser and the engine check light is coming on. Fault code 33, idle control system. Cant find anything wrong. The car runs normally. I have cleared the computer and disconnected different plugs around the manifold area , one by one to try and locate a problem. Still can't find any problems. The check light comes on again even if one of these plugs is disconnected. The engine light does NOT come on immediately, it may take half a day or even 2 days to come on. When it does come on , it comes on when you start the engine.Does anyone have any suggestions? Model is HDJ101K, 4.2 l diesel turbo, 1HD engine.

SOURCE: Need to fit coil springs to Landcruiser 79 series ute (2004)

You need a coil spring compresser, and the proper skill level to use it.
If you try to change the coils without a compresser, you CAN & WILL GET HURT. Coil springs are not something to fool about with if you do not have the proper tools. These things are danagerous.

two first things to check fuel and spark ...fuel make sure your fuel pump is working its messy but the easiest way is to pull the fuel line "only one connection" and turn key to on then press gas pedal and gas should pump out if not fuel pump is bad... if thats not it you want to check for spark easiest way is to pull one of the spark plug wires and stick a screwdriver in the end then hold the screwdriver to where the metal shank is approx. 1/4" away from any metal surface ... hold the screwdriver without touching the metal shank!!! have someone crank the engine you should see a spark intermittently between the screwdriver and the metal youre holding it close to.. if thats ok the only other thing i can suggest is get a battery with more cca "cold cranking amps"..hope this helps..OH YA ON A SAFER NOTE!!!...DONT LOOK FOR SPARK WITH THE ENGINE WET WITH FUEL..

What causes codes #24 & #31 air flow meter signal on 1993 Toyota Camry to show up

24 is an air intake temperature circuit fault
31 is a fault in the MAP sensor circuit or air flow meter circuit.

It may be that there is a short or corrosion in the wiring connections to that area of the engine intake tract. Disconnect and reconnect these a few times to see if the fault is cleared.

Note: to clear trouble codes you will have to remove the EFI main fuse for 30 sec. See here p 299

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/eg1.pdf

The output of these 2 codes simultaneously points to the ENGINE coolant temp sensor ground circuit being broken somewhere (E2 connection). See above link p356. Using this info you can also test the sensors in the air intake.

Fault signal lamp of automobile engine always light, what is matter?my car brand is toyota

The key to read the related information of fault codes and the fault code occurs when the car diagnostic tool records through the diagnostic instrument (usually contain frequency, fault fault, fault speed, speed, temperature, air pressure, the number of kilometers and so on), analysis of the causes of failure by these information. Some fault code does not cause the engine sound changes, such as the vehicle speed sensor fault, oxygen sensor failure etc.. You say are associated with oil or air filter fault may be fuel too thin / thick oil gas path fault, maintenance of this case can be resolved.

What should intake mainfold solenoid for toyota hilux D 4D 1KD engine read

Hello
The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

HELP!!! My CE light keeps coming on, and when I hook up the code reader it keeps giving me a code 33 EGR valve code. The truck is a 5 speed without an egr valve. I cleared the codes many times and it just...

Fault code 33 means that the exhaust gas that flows into the upper intake when the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve) valve is opened is insufficient, or was not sensed during active test by system computer, the 1st thing to do is pull a vacuum on the EGR valve the engine should stall or nearly die, it will shake like crazy if EGR flow is ok, if this doesn't occur and the EGR valve was seen to pull open u will need to remove the EGR valve from the upper intake manifold and clean/clear the EGR exhaust gas passage in that manifold, they get full of carbon and sludge and then restrict the gas flow from the EGR and throw the fault code 33, most times a piece of stiff steel wire and carb cleaner with compressed air will do it, in the worst cases I have had to have the upper intake boiled out by a machine shop.

Problem after restarting the computer

What was the code? P-0171? If so, you may have a very dirty Mass Air Flow Sensor. This is held onto the intake tube by 2 small screws. Take it out & look down inside it. You will see a couple of silever wires. Are they fuzzy-looking? If so, clean them with some brake cleaner spray. Reinstall, and check for a dirty air filter. Hope this helps
