2008 F-250 will cut in and out after driving for about 20 minutes.

After about 20 minutes or so my 08' F-250 acts like it disengages the transmission but the motor sounds like its running fine and revs up normally, but will go in and out at around 40 mph. Then after the truck sits for a while then it will run again fine for another 20 minutes.

Check the radiator fluid level and top up if needed.
Check the gearbox oil level and for signs of discolouration. Replace if needed.

SOURCE: After driving for an hour

I had the same issues for most of last summer. Finally, I replaced the Plug Wires and the car has been working like a charm since. The other problem I found was that I had the wrong plugs. It seems there are only two types for the Focus, the local parts guys quoted me the incorrect part number and my fuel efficiency went to ****.

Sounds like the filter in the trans is plugged up. Should flush trans every 45,000 miles and replace filter and fulid. Its easier to take it in to a shop and have it done they use high pressure flush which will clean out the whole thing for about $200.

I was driving my 08 Chrysler Town & Country and I

The easiest and simple should be fixed first . Turn off everything in your vehicle, radio, ac. lights, windshield wipers etc. Put the car in park , turn off the key. Disconnect the battery, wait 5 minutes. Without turning anything on in the car reconnect the battery, leave the car in park and start the car. Allow the car to sit and idle for 10 minutes. This allows the cars computer to reset all gauges and sensors uninterupted. If everything remains off including interior lights etc. the computer will not miss any steps in resetting. This step will also reset your cars idle.

08 sentra won't start, fast clicking noise and dash lights flashing

We have no way of guessing to answer the question

If the battery came with the car new in 07 or 08,I would
say the battery is worn out

All you need to do with any vehicle issue ,is test things

If you don't have the knowledge, you should have a repair shop
you have used for decades, not some franchise or chain store

2002 Kia Optima runs great, transmission has started acting irradcally. it will shift and pull in gear for a short time after starting, but after a few minutes it fails to move the car. I've changed...

Keep driving it like that & it won't work at all

When ever you even think you have a transmission
issue, you immediately stop using the vehicle or you
end up rebuilding the trans, your call, your money & lots of it

Ask yourself ---Why would changing the fluid do anything?

Old oil out / New oil in ?

You change trans fluid because it breaks down from the heat
That is it's job,to remove heat or your trans fails

Trans & Power Steering get changed every 3 years & not
over 30,000 miles ever on ALL Vehicles

Cuts off in warm weather after about 10 miles

Don't rule out fuel pump. Had a 95 do the same, ran great when cool in morning then when it got hot in afternoon, it would quit. Wait 15-20 minutes & go again, sometimes got me home, other times a few more miles until it cooled down again. Luckily I had access to a fuel pressure gauge. Cool in morning had 49 psi, when it quit, 2 psi. Wait 20 minutes, 49 psi again. If you can drive it around until it starts to act up then run into a repair shop for fuel pressure test it will confirm it. If not, they may need it all day to monitor the fuel pressure & confirm it is pump. If your a gambler, change it & fuel filter. One thing I did get was trouble codes indicating a lean mixture, due to starving for fuel. Have you cycled your key to retrieve any codes yet?
