Daewoo Nubira 2002 involuntary acceleration issue

Hi
Just about every time I drive this car, it tends to accelerate brifely by itself from time to time; at times, the acceleration is powerful and I have to push ******* the brake pedal and to shift on neutral. The other day I almost have an accident while in a mall parking lot.
I have one of these devices OBD II to see why my engine light goes on from time to time and it shows a minor cam problem related to electrical connection issue. The engine light was off yesterday during the involuntary acceleration.
I am concerned.
PS: My car is a 4 door sedan Daewoo Nubira 2002. For some reason it is not listed on your product list. I had to choose the 2000 Daewoo Nubira model in order to proceed.
Thank you,
Roger

Hi
I am disappointed. Your website is misleading because it does not provide what it promise; free advice. It will be nicer if you will just tell the people you provide advice for a fee up front. If your way of doing business is misleading, what am I to expect from your paid advice services? Please take me off your email list.

Have your mechanic check the brake booster. I have had this problem one time before. the booster wasn't working correctly, small hole in the diaphram. it acted as if there was a large vacuum leak letting the engine rev up, but only when the brakes were applied.

Sideward pull on some shifts and a seriuos leftside **** at speed

its sounds like the front wheel drive engine is able to produce more torque steer than it used to when it was new? you will get a little of this from most front wheel drive engines anyway. I would check and replace bushings,
tie rod ends
lower ball joints
upper strut mounts and upper mount brackets
I would also replace the front swaybar bushings. if you replace the strut mounts you may as well replace the front strut while you already have them off.
this will have a cost though to replace these items but this issue could become unsafe if you continue to drive it if it gets progressively worse.

2000 Daewoo Nubira just stopped while driving!

What kind of sound did it make, While it was cutting off? Was it a loud noise if so. You might need a new timing belt and to get your valves and cylinders check. If your starter works and everything else is fine. Because I just had the same problem with my car. And its gone cost me alot of money that I dont have just to get it fix.

Year 2000 Nubira Wagon automatic. When starting the revs are way to high. Any permanent way to fix... Thanks Peter

1997 nubira wagon high revs at idle. We disconnected the battery and turned the headlights on to remove any residual stored power then waited for 10 to 15 mins. Connect the battery and turn the ignition on and off 5 times without starting the car now start the car without touching the accelerator pedal. This worked for us as it seems to reset the computer. We have had to do this periodicaly to keep the problem in check. Hope this helps.
