First off which fuse are you removing and are you sure that it is the correct one secondly do not try a bigger fuse because they have specific fuse for each circuit and if it is to big you will not blow it but you could possibly melt wires and couse more problems to me it sound that there are two wires that are making contact and they should not possibly rubbed togeather and cuasing a short. I would double check the fuse that you are removing and then I would look at the fuse box for any signs of corrosion or rubbed wires then unless you have a good understanding of electronics I would let a proffesional help you out

Try to buy a bigger fuse and clean out the fuse slot, if that don't work then you have a bad set of wires somewhere

SOURCE: clock and radio doesn't light up when car turned on

I used pliers to pull out the entire plastic shroud around the fuse, then put the fuse into the shroud and then plugged the whole assembly back in.

How do you check fuse in the back of the radio?

1.Turn off the vehicle. Locate the main fuse box.
2.Locate a fuse box that isn't under the dashboard by checking under the hood of the car.
3.Look at the diagram on the inside of the fuse box's cover.
4.Determine if the fuse is blown by looking through the clear plastic casing.
5.Take the blown fuse to an electronics store or a car-parts store.Push the new fuse into the empty slot in the fuse box, making sure that it is in the same direction as the other fuses. It should slide in with a tight fit.Replace the fuse-box cover.
6.Complete the above steps before removing the car radio.Disconnect the car battery under the hood by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal (the black cable) of the battery. Remove the dash area around the car radio.Unscrew the four screws on each corner of the car stereo.Locate the fuse on the back of the car radio.

7.Take the blown fuse to a car-parts store or electronics store to find a replacement fuse. Place the new fuse into the car radio.lide the car radio back into the dash opening. Replace the corner screws followed by the dash trim panels. Put any screws and clips back into place.Reconnect the car battery. Turn the car on, and if the blown fuse was the problem, the radio should work.

2009 kia spectra: I had my car jumped and now my radio is completely off, the clock is off, interior lights won't turn on, and the button to lock my doors only works when car is on. I checked the fuse

If it happened after jumping car than Yes look in the main fuse box under the hood and check all fuses there, you may need a volt ohm meter to check some of them...

The car won't start; lights, ac, radio etc come on but car won't turn over or even click; checked battery cables; put different battery in; still won't start

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

Turned radio off, then tried to turn back on. Radio not go back on and now there is a blank screen.

your radio has a fuse in the fuse box generally by your feet or under the hood. it could have popped out because of an active use of your cars electricity. try checking the fuse if it is broken replace it. if it is fine but just popped out push it back in.
