98 ford ranger no heat have changed thermostat water pump heater control valve

Maybe the heater core is plugged or you haven't bled it properly?
If the heater hose returning from the core to the water pump is NOT hot, while the hose going to the heater core from the thermostat area IS hot, then the heater core is plugged probably.
You need to remove the heater hose while cool, from the thermostat area and remove the hose from the water pump area (that's the outlet of the flow thru heater core) AND THEN take a garden hose with p-is-tol grip type sprayer, and blow water back thru the outlet hose out the inlet hose. This will blow any bad plugging material out the way it got in.
Don't apply too much pressure if it is plugged bad. The heater core isn't made to stand 50lbs. water pressure. don-ohio (:^)

Blows cold air no heat.installed new thermostat and heater cole.hoses feel hot on one cold on other.

Could be the water pump. When it heats up the impeller can spin on the shaft. Not enough pressure to push it the the heater core. Make sure you purge all the air out first. Cores are bad for holding air. Some cars worse than others.

I have a 1999 f350 deisel i cant get the heat to blow warm or hot it only comes out cool

OK, first make sure that both heater hoses are hot, if they are then there is a little moter in the dash called a blend door actuater it moves the blend door from hot to cold it can be a pain to change. now if you have one hot hose and one cold hose you need a heater core and it is a major job to replace it now here is were it gets a little tricky in the past 3 or 4 weeks we have had 2 ford trucks come in with no or little heat and both heater hoses were just luke warm and after replacing the heater core and still not getting any heat we found that the impeller on the water pump was rusted away it still moved just enough water to keep the truck from overheating but not enough to supply the heater core.. I hope this helps GOOD LUCK

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open or fans running all the time (if electric). If water pump was shot, then engine would get hot, depending on the temperature where you are.
Electric fans, or belt powered? If electric, do fans run all the time? If so, replace the fan relay module, which are prone to failure in Chrysler products.

The hoses might have a heater control valve on one ofthem, check and see,an you may have to replace it.Also make sure there is enough coolant in the system,it will not flow threw the heater core if there is not enough coolant in the system, the mist could be the hole in the heater core.
