I apparently have a leak in the the a/c 'compressor/manifold hose" causing refrigerant to leak out, so the passenger side cools some, and the drivers side, not at all. I was told this is the hose that wraps all around everything? How much should it cost, and could an inexperienced person do it right by himself. Parts are a little over $100.00 from AutoZone. Thanks in advance.
You can replace the parts or hose yourself but you
can not pull a vacuum & leak test or add refrigerant
That requires training, experience & special equipment
Did you not get a price at the dealer, just ask a repair shop
or figure less than a dealer would overcharge you
For the parts I would only buy A/C or Power Steering Hoses
from a dealer. I have never found the auto parts store ones
to fit very well, even from top brand name companies.
Have repair shop get hose at dealer with a discount &
install for you & recharge

Dealership already said it was the hose, I know it's low on refrigerant , and filled it once, it is low again. So my question really is just: "How much should it cost to replace the a/c compressor/manifold hose".
