Question about 1993 Nissan Altima

Left rear wheel wobbles

Was out driving in the snow when car started to slide and i hit the curb rather hard with the left rear wheel and now the wheel is turned in slightly and wobbles when i drive.

    what exactly? do i just take off the wheel? how do i tell if it is just a bent rim? or an axle ?

    I had the same problem, I replaced the wheel it was bent.

    the hub is just a bearing that spins // you bent something ,take it all apart and see what's bent and quit rally driving lol

    u either bent the wheel or the axle face or both, this is obvious isn't it??

Put on your spare doughnut tire and see if it's bent to .. if it is then you bent the axle not the rim.

Mostly what you need is the hub and or the hub and the strut assembly.

Replace the wheel it must be bent, I had the same problem.

    ok, jack the wheel that wobble, them spin the wheel and observe the wheel, you should be able to see, if the wheel is bent it will not run in straight line it will wobble left to right.

Sloppy loose steering


first check the lug nuts... second, jack the vehicle up one wheel at a time move it every possible way while looking for anything behind it that might be loose.

Wheels wobble while driving, can feel it in steering wheel.


If you are lucky, you only bent a wheel. Repair or replacement of the bent rim will correct this issue. Unfortunately, you may have hit hard enough to bend the lower control arm or possibly a tie rod. In some cases the bending may be visible to the naked eye. However, in most cases only a service center, using an alignment rack, will be able to determine the damaged component(s).

The rear tire is on tight but it wobbles and shakes the whole car when i drive it. it has good tires on it.

Car wont turn over after hitting curb hard enough to ruin both driver side wheels


The fuel shut switch is located at the left of the brake master cylinder (near the top plate of the front left shock)
