2001 Daewoo Leganza Diagnostic plug in

My check engine light has come on and there is a local parts place here that will let you use their diagnostic equipment at no charge as long as you stay in their parking lot. I can then bring the code into them and they will let me know what it means.
This will save me the $75 fee to take it into a shop in addition to whatever it is thats wrong with it. So my question is where on my 2001 Daewoo Leganza CDX do I find the spot that this should be plugged into?

SOURCE: ECU port for 99 Daewoo Leganza

I came here for the same problem. After several trips into the cold I found it. If it is the same as the 2000 Leganza, it is black, located on the drivers side, right knee, pointed down, and attached to the dash,

if it still pulls good its ok but your cooler in the radiator has come apart so you need to buy an aftermarket trans cooler and flush the tranny and refill with new fluid

SOURCE: How to scan the 2001 daewoo nubira fault codes.

Your port should be located under the dash on the driver's side near your knee area. The port should be pointing straight down from the dash. The scanner will be plug and play and you shouldn't have to jump and pins for the OBD-II port. As for the codes, there are so many thousands of codes that you can't even guess what codes will be generated from your scan

My 2001 Daewoo Leganza cranks, fires, but will not stay running more than a quick second. The check engine light stated to come on regularly for the last few months and once a week or so I had to try to...

the problem is that you have allowed it to degenerate to the point where it can be a costly fix where at the time the engine light first came on , a trip to the local auto spares shop would result in a fault code reading for free
have the fault codes read now
check the oil levels and coolant levels at the radiator as it could be the result of and overheating peroblem

While driving car starts to shake, feels like it's goanna stop but it's not. Sometimes check engine light turning on and goes off

Have shop or parts store do an OBII scan and read fault codes. The codes will indicate what is wrong or needs to be replaced. When was last healthy tune up - plugs, plug wires, ALL filters including FUEL filter? I'd start there.

Dear sir i have a daewoo leganza modle 2001 have a problem in 5th gear slip out kindly give me a guide line for spare parts bcz i am in saudi arabia but here no have a daewoo spare parts...

5th gear synchronizer warn faulty damaged or dry. if you can check the level of the oil in the gearbox to see if its at it top. ( dun by adding more oil) if it overflows straight away then its full and not the problem.
automatic, it can be a sensor fault either getting wrong signal from abs or the engine rev counter, or again low level of oil in auto box.

Where is the Thermostat located for my heater in my 2001 Daewoo Leganza?

On the engine block at the end of the upper radiator hose inside the housing. It comes in the housing when you buy it from most auto parts stores.

Diagnostics Reading: P1781

P1781 4x4 Switch Out Of Range

Couple things to check, transfer case and front diff fluids, make sure no wires are bare or shorting together on either transfer case or front diff, just to eliminate the easy stuff first. I would also check the connectors at the ECM and TCM just to make sure they are secure and tight.

Hope helps.

What happens when you cannot get the car to talk to the diagnostic computer?

Usually it's because you have a blown fuse to the ALDL connector. Check the fuses. It should be the same fuse for the lighter.

ECU port for 99 Daewoo Leganza

you mean the diagnostic port? All vehicles after 1996 use obdII and the rules for the location of the plug state that it must be accessable from the drivers seat. it could be anywhere from near the drivers door to the center console. It may be covered by a plate. get a good flashlight and good luck. You can also contact Daewoo at www.daewoous.com or call 1-800-323-9668
