Question about 1999 Mercury Cougar
This just started a week ago. When I get in to start the car it doesn't want to start unless I step on the gas then it starts and drives fine. It doesn't always do it sometimes if it is warmed up it starts fine. I took it in to be diagnosed and the mechanic said that the air flow sensor was the only thing thatshowed up on the diagnostic and I had a deteriorated air filter that he replaced. This did not solve the problem. Now he is saying that it could be the regulator. Sometimes in the morning if I turn the key on for a few seconds before starting it then it starts fine.
