Have a 2003 chevy cavalier engine check light light is on flashing . obd said #2 cilinder mis fire what would it be

If it's just one cylinder, it could be the spark plug or the spark plug wire...or, you could have a plugged or malfunctioning injector (if your car has fuel injection).

2005 Cavalier misfiring on 2 cylinders, dumping fuel

Spark plugs get there voltage from the ignition coil packs, more then likely you have a bad coil pack or coil pack boot, pull one coil pack or spark plug wire or boot at a time, if you see a drop in rpm, that one is good, if no drop bad coil pack.

1990 Chevy cavalier is only running on 2 cylinders, My husband changed the spark plug wires and the coil case with no change to cylinders what could the problem be. It is a 4 cylinder and the engine is 1.8

well first you need to perform a compression test, this will tell you right up front of you have major engine trouble be it head gasket, camshaft, cylinder rings etc. First things first what do the spark plugs look like after it has benn running for a while??

I cant figure out the right order of the plug

Firing Order on 2.2 liter: 1-3-4-2
Cylinder number: 1-2-3-4 from passenger to driver's side
From the coil from fire wall to radiator: #1 coil 4-1 #2 coil 3-2 Good luck and this should help you get your car running 100% again.

1993 chevy cavalier 2.2l 4 c. sparks and wire order

it fires 1-3-4-2. The coil pack is marked 1-4, match them up with your cylinders, and you're good to go! Cylinder 1 is on the front of the engine, the side opposite from the transmission. Find your alternator and that's at cylinder 1.

1993 chevy cavalier 4 cyl i need the firing order for the plugs and paks

The cylinder closest to the passenger side is number one. Firing order is 1, 4, 3, 2 Where is your coil pack located in reference to the engine? I need this info to give you accurate placement of the spark plugs. Charlie

1993 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 not firing on 2 cylinders

The reason I'm asking this is because a dual coil fires BOTH plugs at the same time. If one plug doesn't fire right, the other won't either, even to a point that neither does. Kepp the coils where they are and swap the plugs and wires and see if you have a change. Let me know

ignition mod. grounds, pcm or timing belt could all be it but, I would have to look at timing first.
