There are two fuse boxes one on the drivers side when you open the door and the other under the hood check your owners guide i believe the one you need is under the hood .

Hi John!
  • There is a short in the Circuit. Do not put any more fuses in it.
  • Take it to the Electric Shop to have it diagnosed.

You might have a bad switch causing a short blowing the fuse. Check the motor too as that may have a problem.

My cigarrette lighter shorted out now my fog lights will not work.

Hello! Accidental short on the cigar lighter or a failure? If it was a failure has the cigar lighter socket been replaced and is OK? If the failure or accidental short on the cigar lighter happened when the fog lamps were on current back fed through the Fog Lamp Relay and may have damaged its contacts...Question then becomes; Is the fog lamp fuse (FOG LPS 15 A) OK...it is in the under hood fuse block..Have you checked the fog lps fuse? if it is good and fog lamps do not come on replace the Fog Lamp Relay (under hood fuse/relay block)

I have a 2000 gmc yukon denali and everytime i push my ciggarete lighter in it blows the fuse and my radio also stops working

Hi,
Replace the cigarette lighter. Parts houses have the right one for your Yukon.
The lighter itself shorts out so when you push it in it creates an immediate dead short . Fuse Blows.
Thanks for using Fix Ya.

My fuses for the cigg. lighter, radio, and windows, and dash lights are blown, but when as soon as i change one of them it blows

you have a dead short to ground or chassis on the fuses that blow right out it sounds as if maybe a wire harness got pinched and grounded , did you have any int. work done on truck recently? might be somthin to look at.

Horn started blowing constantly...No voltage at cigarette lighter.....put 12v to lighter wire and horn blows constantly again. need lighter/horn wiring.....there must be a 12v to ground short associated...

the horn circuit is that theres 12v fed to one side of horn and works when its return is grounded at the horn button,,the feed to thec/liter may also be the feed to the horn,,the horn staying on may be the button return spring has calapsed and the contacts not seperating

Front Power Outlet/Cigarette Lighter Chevrolet 2005 Venture

I would check directly behind the outlet first, it sounds like the movement over the years may have caused the pos, and neg wires to un sheath, and touch. Then, if possible, trace back from there to power source, shouldn't be too awful to locate. Hope all goes well.
