On my way to work this morning, I noticed my turn signals do not work anymore. The arrows don't light up on the dash either. They worked fine last night. Does the flasher just need to be replaced? And how much does that cost? I have a '98 Pontiac Grand Am. Thanks

Most likely is the electronic turn signal flasher unit. When it is working listen for clicking noise it makes that will make you aware where it is under your dash. Try parts store or dealer to buy unit.
Check your fuses. The dash lights are on a different fuse. Also check dimmer switch. If its not one, then it is the other. Try working dimmer switch quickly back and forth( with the lights on when it's dark so you can see if they come on).
the turn signal switch that is in the steering colum needs replacing it is worn out the dash lights are controled by the head light switch by turning the knob to the right or left there is also a fuse that is marked instr on the fuse box this is for the dash lights
