If the vehicle does not have a dipstick, the transmission fluid must be checked at the transmission. This requires lifting the car on four jack stands; it must be level tocheck the fluid. There will be a fill plug on the side of the transmission case. This is not the drain plug located at the bottom of the sump.
I've seen posts that said the transmissions are prone to problems if you don't use Hyundai original fluid or Amsoil when changing fluid. For what it's worth.
no usually on a manual transmission there is two plugs one is a drain other one is the fill
on the trasmisson locate both plugs one will be high other one will be low
when you remove top plug fluid should dribble out or fuild level will be right below plug hole
if not fill with the proper fluid untilfluid dribbles out then replace plug
Need to know the year and make of car to tell you, it's normally on the side of the trasmisson and has a red or yellow handle on it and must be checked by the directions on the dip stick. I can tell you generally it is to start it and have it wam and check it in park, However there are exceptions to this rule as most rules.
check trasmisson fluild level if it is full check to see if it ssmells burnt if it smells like onions and is brrown then the filter may be plugged and the fluid is burned so you will have to replace it. however most likely it needs to be rebuilt snd tork converter replaced. hope this helps.
look for the power steering pump, it will go to the steering device look at the top of the pump and follow the hose when you come tothe end of the hose yo will find the filler cap remove it and fill it with dexron 2 or 3 trasmisson fluid.
generally camrys are automatic and if so the fluid goes right into where the dipstick came out of. be sure to add it slowly so it does not come up the dipstick and flood out and be careful not to overfill it.
