SOURCE: Heater\AC no air in front 05 suburban
ase mechanic:
Sounds like a problem with the front blower motor. there is a blower motor resistor for the front blower motor that controls the speed of the blower and tends to go bad or fry out the blower motor. thats the most likely scenerio since you stated the control head was lighting up and responded to button changes.

I would check the level of your coolant first and foremost. A lot of times failing to prime the coolant after a large procedure like you just had will be the cause. Also, Ford (lincoln) is notorious for their vacuum powered systems failing which is what controls the baffle on your cooling system to allow the hot coolant from the engine to heat the air in your heating system. Hope this helps
SOURCE: Can't change air flow direction on ac/heater control. Only blows up to windshield.
It will be a cable that will be disconnected. or broken. Youll have to take some of the dash apart to see the cable and follow it to the switch. Dont be affraid to take some things apart and when you cant see, use a mirror to help you see behind the dash. work the control and watch the action. You will fix this dont get frustrated. good luck

If you have the hood up stand outside while someone activates your air off and on and see if the clutch on the compressor goes on and off while they activate the switch. If that isn't it the it could be improperly charged system or your climate control door that opens and closes for hot or air is not working properly and only stays on heat.
SOURCE: Heater blows cool air instead of warm air
check your coolant level if it is low top it off. if it is full you may need to change your thermostat to get the temp back to normal. for the heat check the heater control valve to make sure it isn't stuck (heater control valve should be located against fire wall connected to heater hose.
