Im no mechanic but the only problem i been having with the engine light is not putting the gas cap on tightly enough. The gas caps on these cars are garbage.

Hi
From my expirience, this happens when any of the ignition coils is faulty (they do burn).
Find the faulty one and replace it, that will be the prob.
Thanks

Hard start cold

IF the engine is a diesel then have the GLO-plugs checked and the GLO-plug relay checked for correct operation. If not run fault codes to find which sensor is not working in cold weather

Mazda 626 (1994) Random intermittant stalling

The first thing you need done here is to have the dealer or a shop scan the ECM (computer) for fault codes, this could be just a defective electronic engine control sensor like a crankshaft sensor or a defective ICM (ignition module). So before you do anything else have the scan done with the special scan tool required.

2001 dodge durango, when the weather is real cold

have the ECT checked,
Engine coolant temperature, lets the computer know whether it should push more fuel thru for cold mornings ,
the sensor could be telling the computer that your engine temp is 75 degrees, means less fuel being pushed
