Thank you so much, but mine has two plastic clips which hold the window, these have been replaced by metal clamps now in the kit which I bought,, also my golf is plated 2000, sorry to be confusing. I am trying to repace everything, the whole assembly came apart when the plastic clamps broke. I could do it if I knew how the pulleys reassemble.

    thank you.... Peter

This is a bit of a chore. post more info. are you trying to put the glass back in or are you replacing the regulator? these cars are famous for breaking regulators.I am trying to reinstall - ac7a049.gif

    your kit look like this???
and are you looking for the route the cables run through the pullies or are you trying to reattach the pullies to the guide trackes (I don't think the pullies can be reattached...I think the track has to be replaced)

Drivers electric window suddenly fell down inside of door

thw window either came off the window slider or the slider bracket, this can be determined by removing the door panel. this could also be cable driven and the cable has disconnected or broke, can also be determined by removing door panel.

VW Polo 2001 - Electric Windows wont open from Drivers side..

I removed all 3 switches from driver and passenger door, which is really easy with a flat head screw driver. took them completely apart, very carefully, with a small screwdriver out of a christmas cracker. put them back together again and 2 switches started working, so I put 1 in the drivers side and 1 in the passengers side so now my drivers door window opens and I lean over to open the passenger door. cool, no money spent...yet ;o)

'01 Golf - both windows not working, dash lights dont work

If the new golf is any thing like the old mk3 then the windows have cables attached to the mechanism for operating the windows and the plastic that holds the cables in place aint the best ! Better take off the door panel and check the cables and the plastic on the window
