Yes! watch video on youtube. I did the heater core last weekend and it really helped. BIG job, expect to take ENTIRE dash board off and them some. took me 7 hrs to get to the heater core and 5 to put back. LAST BOLT is in the HVAC against the engine compartment. CUT OUT the "cut out for service" diagram and the bolt inside. Super crappy. Good luck I did it, so you can too!!

Before you want to replace a heater core try flush it out first. It may be blocked Disconnect hoses at fire wall and use garden hose and nozzle to flush the core.just might work savings on core and time

Their is nothing either quick or easy to changeing a heater core. Most have to have all of the duct work from the AC and heater under the dash removed. The two hoses for the outside of the cowling to the core have to be removed. Some even have to have the floor board matts removed to have enough clearance  to take out the heater core. A really rough job.

Where is the heater contol valve on a 1998 chevy s10 blazer. i get very little heat

There isn't one. There is always coolant flowing through the heater core. The blend door controls all of the heating and airconditioning.
Make sure the heater core is free flowing, most of the time the core gets plugged with rust and slug and does not allow coolant to flow through. You can take the hoses off the core and try and back flush it with a gardan hose.

Antifreeze/coolant leaking from under passenger side dash

If it's your heater core, unless you're a mechanic you probably should get professional help. The heater core is located on the firewall and many parts need to be replaced to get to it. Do you see water on the floor inside the vehicle, Many times a heater core will leak inside.

Where is the heater core located on 2000 Chevy Blazer?

Its located under the dash, just behind the glove compartment. From what I've read, you have to pretty much remove the entire dash to get to it.

first determine if the heater core is located high or low by raising the hood checking against the firewall {by following the heater hoses to the fire wall} if it is high need to remove the dash. if it is low get on your back and start removing clips and screws no special tool needed.
