How change air filter on 2004 honda civic ex?

good day Sir, It's directly on top of the engine, in the center, toward the back. It looks like a rectangle in shape, and has I believe 6 screws around, and one permanent screw in the middle. Just take out the 6 screws, loosen the middle one, and pull it off. Quite easy! i hope this will help you.

Air filter replacement

Per Hondacarforum.com

"look for your air filter box. its a big square box on the right hand side of the car under the hood. you cant miss it. ther should either be clips or screws holding the box together. you have to get the top off of it to get to the filter... just replace the filter, and put the top back on and ur good"

Air filter in "04 civic

It is in a plastic case located on top of the engine just behind the ignition coils right in the center of the engine. It is held on by a handful of bolts and screws. Just take the top cover off and you are there.

Good Luck

2004 audi a4 problem

replacing your air filter I guess is your question. best way I have found is quite simple. 1.8l disconnect the N80 valve on way valve solenoid normally in a rubber housing connected to your intake air duct. remove small clamp and connector. remove intake air duct two phillips head screws on core support. remove two top screws from top of air box. you may have to loosen up the wiring that is held in place by clips to make it easier. spread box open pull out air filter... CURSE ALOT. then do the exact opposite for reassembly.

Replacing the engine air filter on a 2004 audi a4 1.8t

you must undo all hoses and unscrew the two screws. if you mess up the air sensor will be broken and some of the hoses have to be replaced. it will cost in excess of $400 in parts alone where as Audi dealer will charge $130 to change the filter for you. I had to pay $750 to fix the damage I caused.

Problem

There are two air filters on an 05 Civic.

The most common filter is the engine air filter. This is the one that filters the air going into the engine. On my 2005 Civic LX (1.7L engine) it is located in the box that is between the top of the engine and the firewall. The box has 7 screws..6 around the perimeter and one in the center. The top of the box can be lifted and the filter is located in the bottom half of the box. Replacement filters are usually available at Wal-Mart or your favorite auto parts store.

The other filter is the cabin air filter. On my 05 Civic LX there are actually 2 filter elements. They are located behind the glove box and are accessible once you take out the side clips on the glove box and allow it to fold down completely. There is a small rectangular access panel that can be removed, and the filter elements are located behind this. Once you remove the first filter element, the second one is removed by sliding it into the area where the first filter was originally. Once it is moved over, it can be pulled out as well. Most auto parts stores carry this filter, and the filter kit (typically made by Bosch) includes pictures and a better explanation. It isn't as commonly available as the one mentioned above.

Good luck, and I hope this helps.
