Could be the nuetral/start safety switch, or the linkage to the transmission pin has come loose and jammed.

1997 chevy blazer turns over but wont start, starts once in a blue moon

Mine did that when the fuel pump needed to be replaced. Try this a mechanic friend told me this once to basically save my starter. Turn the key to on (only far enough for the radio to come on) count to like 15 or 20 turn the key back to off and then go ahead and start it up. It sounds stupid, but it got the Blazer to turn over until I could get it brought in for the fuel pump to be replaced. I hope that helps you.

1997 chevy s10 blazerdash wont light up when key

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!

My 1997 chevy blazer does not have a 4wheel drive switch

If there is no switch present then it is full time 4X4, it does not disengage, good for travel bad for fuel mileage.
