The fuel pump relay should be at the pass. fender well. It may be under a cover that holds 3 relays together. Usually it has a green plug on it. Also check the inertia (crash) switch. It's located at the upper part of the pass. side floor inside the car. It'll be under the carpet midway up the firewall. Make sure it hasn't gotten tripped.

The fuel pump relay is on the fender near the battery, and the inertia switch is under the dash on the passenger side.

Where is the fuel pump relay on my 87 bronco 2. Is it on the passenger upper fender? Would this make the fuel pump not work?

Inside, on the passenger side of the trans tunnel, on the firewall, under the carpet is your shut off switch. Press the button on top. Hope this helps.

Wwhat causes the fuel pump to run constantly when switch is turned on? On a 1987 Bronco 2 2.9l 4WD EFI.

Well could be one of 2 problems it is either the fuel pump relay which is located on the inside of engine compartment on the passenger side fenderwell. looks like a small box there are normally 3-4 of these but if it is original it will be green in color,. if that is not it then it is normally the EEC unit itself which is located inside the kick panel on the passenger side, this is the computer for the vehicle which can be found at a parts store..autozone..

Is there a relay fuel pump switch for a 1987 ford bronco 2 If we straight wire it to the fuel pump it comes on but when turning on switch fuel pump will not come on.

I just had the same problem, today, check the tan- lt green wire on the fuel relay that is located on the right fender, mine wasn't pushed in all the way, this wire shut down spark and fuel, if you are looking for the shut off switch to reset the relay, it is on the passagers side floor board under the dash, gas two wires, orange and pink, I don't remember the color of the stripes, I removed this switch and wired them together without a problem

WHERE IS FUEL PUMP ON 1987 BRONCO 2

The fuel pump on a Bronco is located inside the fuel tank. The level sender unit and pump are usually mounted together but they can be changed individually.
You will probably need a speacial tool to seperate the flexible fuel hoses from the metal fuel pipes.

I have a 1987 full size bronco (302) and I can't find one of the fuse compartments (boxes). I know there's one underneath the steering wheel but I can't find the other one. Thanks Dan

Power Distribution Box
Located under the hood, in the engine compartment. It houses the fuses and relays for most of the under hood components which are not controlled by a dash mounted switch (such as the alternator, fuel pump, ECM, etc.). The fuses and relays are replaced in the same manner as the fuse panel inside the vehicle. The power distribution box cover is hinged on one end and utilizes a retaining latch on the other. Simply release the latch and lift the cover up to gain access to the fuses and relays.

1987 ford bronco fuel issues

First thing to check out will be the fuel pump relay under the hood. It is the one who drives the pump, so if it is defective the pump will not work either to prime the engine, or to make it run. Secondly, you need to check if the fuel filters are OK cause sometimes they clog up and prevent enough fuel from reaching the engine. Thirdly, check the injector(s) for cloging, and clean or replace them as needed. If none of this helps, then the problem probably has nothing to do with fuel delivery, and the next step to check will be the whole ignition system, which is also one of the most comon bronco problems.
