Question about 2004 Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe

Replaced braked pads - now VDC and Slip Lights are on

I replaced front and rear brake pads on my 04' G35 sedan. The old brakes were about 75% worn and I replaced with a premium ceramic pad (car was braking fine). I had no problems replacing the front and rear pads and did not have to bleed the brakes at all. After the job was complete, I started the car, slowly pumped the brakes 2-3 times to get a good firm pedal. Immediately, the VDC and Slip Lights came on but brakes are working great. Now...when you first start the vehicle, the "service engine soon" light comes on and the car will run for about 30 seconds and DIE. When you restart it, the VDC, Slip light and Service Engine Soon light come on and the car runs OK. Any ideas before I have to fork out dollars to diagnose?????

My VDC OFF and Slip light and check engine light come on too and the car dies, I dont know if I should bring it to the dealer, or what, but it's a G 35 2003, and this started right after I had the transmission oil changed.

The VDC and SLIP light comes on in the dash and the car will just die while im driving. sometimes when I accelerate the car doesn't seem like its getting gas. When I try to restart the car it takes longer for the car to start.

I would take the car to almost any auto parts store and ask them to check the ODB II computer for codes and to reset the "Check engine light". Get the code that they tell you and it should go a long way to pointing you in the right direction to fixing this problem. It might also be that when you pumped the brakes that you somehow set a code in the computer from the ABS system and now that you have the brakes pumped up and working correctly resetting the Check engine light might fix your problem.

Good luck! Write back with any code you get and I'll see if I can help you figure out what the problem might be.

2006 g35 brake, vds and slip light on all the time, what is causing this?

first thing to check is your brake fluid level if it is low it can cause this.low level most commonly caused by worn out brake pads but also could have a leak.if low fluid is the cause have your brakes thoroughly inspected.

My brake, slip and VDC indicators stay on.

Check brake fluid level, add fluid from sealed container if needed.

Also check for leaking rear axle seals. Look for oil on the inside of rear wheels.
