Water on floor of backseat of 1999 vw beetle

I agree in theory but if there are 4 hoses/drain holes then rear two aren't visible. I am considering ripping pillar open from inside to find tube and try to fix/replace/clean or reattach the hose. It sure wasn't visible from rear! Took everything apart yesterday trying to find it! Vw's manuals don't show the route the hoses take. I spent an hour at dealer yesterday! Hi George, I have never had to deal with your particular problem on the new Beetle, but I have had a few similar problems on other vehicles including Audi, BMW and Benz being the German vehicles. All that I have dealt with have had four water drainage pipes, one at each corner. To access those at the rear may very well result in having to remove the roof lining from inside the vehicle and tracing from there. Don't be too surprised if you need to remove more than the lining.
