If your car is a manual then your d-vac is low
if your car is automatic then either your transmission is going or its low on motor oil

I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus and it will fire up and run. Then once my car reaches normal temps it starts chugging and wants to stall. If you keep your foot on the gas it will stay running. I have changed...

poss. bad 02 sensor. you need to have it scanned for codes. on this engine the water comes out of the engine on the side of the block. you have to bleed the air out of this system. thats what the bleeder is for. the hose that fits there is where the water goes into the engine.

I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus, When I come to a stop, the oil tight comes on but, when I take my foot off the breaks and asccelerate ( or put any gas to it) the light goes out. PLEASE HELP!

You are developing low oil pressure at idle this is a common problem with Dodge stratus. If you fail to have it fix you will definetly loose the timing chain and the whole enginecansmo_198.gif

Check to see if coil is firing when car stalls may be overheating and not sending spark to plugs once it cools off it will fire again

My 2003 dodge stratus idles rough like it might die out then when you start pressing the gas to accelerate it has a tough time accelerating right away but then when it starts goin it gets smoother also...

check or replace fuel filter for clogging up. if it does clog up, then you will not get enough fuel to engine to run it properly. it will stall at stops, and be very sluggish on takeoff. check fuel pressure if need be. could also be a bad catylist convertor. so check above first. Rent a fuel pressure guage from advance or oreilley's and check fuel pressure if needed. they will tell you the proper fuel pressure for your car.

While driving my 2002 dodge stratus the gauge just moved up to H after driving about 10 miles, when I got home and put it in park I can hear something running fast, I don't know if its a fan or what, never...

Probably hearing the electric fan. It will continue to run even after the engine is shut off.
Wait until it cools down then check the coolant level in the radiator. DO NOT remove the cap on an over heated car!!! If it's low, look for the leak. It has to be going somewhere.
A shop can do a pressure test, or you can with the the pressure tester tool. It attaches to where the rad. cap goes and has an air pressure type hand pump. Sold at Walmart or any auto parts store.
Put a little pressure on the radiator and again, check for that leak.

Try removing your A.I.S. (automatic idle speed) motor, and clean the plunger, and port that the plunger goes into with throttle body cleaner or similar. Quite often this gets gummed up & sticky and will cause it to stall or idle down real low, especially when a load on engine, such as AC on, turning, etc. The purpose of this part is to step-up the idle, automatically when those conditions occur. If it shows improvement, for a while, then starts doing it again, I'd put a new one on.
