This sounds like you may have to replace the relay that goes to the defrost switch!
I think is the most likely cause of this problem!

should be in your fuse panel somewhere or poss. under the hood. Look at the legend on the cover. It will be a small silver box.

If your talking about the rear defroster yes its possible for it to stay on,and that will kill the battery in it,anything staying on will run the battery down in it,check the relay for the rear defroster ,chances are its gone bad,and that will kill your battery all the time, you might also want to have a draw check done on it and have the ignition switch checked,it may not be turning all the way off,or it may be going out, good luck with it.

My first guess would be a wiring problem or the controller.
If anything goes wrong with the system, it will default to the defrost mode for safety.

You most likely have a vacuum leak in the climate control switch or elsewhere behind the switch. 75% of the time the climate control switch must be replaced, otherwise in the other 25% the vacuum leak must be found and sealed(if not in the switch) before normal operation of the unit will occur.

defrost is the default position when broke. so the most common problem on these it the actuator motor that turn the door inside to redirect the air flow. but the head unit also goes bad to. so this will have to be checked eclectically by a shop to make sure that is the issue's

No power to all three (3) blower switches, rear defrost switch,

Check for a loose connection at that fuse panel you were playing with.
I'll check other ideas & get back to you, while you check that.

Front vents will not work

If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.
