other than changing the identified parts ,which i imagine are expensive ,check all air intake pipe work as a split or worn hose can cause irregular air intake thus giving a false exhaust reading
Retarding the timing will cool the combustion which will lower the Hydrocarbon number,it will run bad but after a passed e test put the timing back to an advanced state which may help with the stumble.
Chevy of this model has to be driven 80-100 miles at least to reset the emissions this is if everything is good and all aspects pass and become active this will happen if all is well during the driving cycle each component will start coming on line.Remember to rate my solution this is how i earn my achievements also testimonial Thanks much in advance.
Hydro Carbons are usally from an engine missfire. It may be that it is such a sligh miss that you cannot feel it. What is your timing set at? I would try setting it at 2* advanced and see what that does for you.
have you had the the engine codes pulled and reset?
and if so what are your engine codes?
i dont know of any car that will pass emissions test with the engine light on.
