My Holden statesman 95. The oil light on the dash bord is coming on and off, i know that is the oil pump or a blockage.. what is the best way to fix it?

It may be the oil pressure sensor at fault.
It could also be a sticking oil pressure relief valve.

Before you start replacing expensive items like oil pumps, start with the easiest and cheapest first.

Presumably the engine oil level is ok? and it isn't overdue an oil/filter change?

Your car doesn't have an oil pressure gauge? Knowing what your oil pressure was would be of help. A workshop would be able to check your oil pressure using something similar to what you see in the link below:
***** in oil pressure tester

Check your oil level first.
If the car is due an oil/filter change - do it.
If changing the oil consider using an engine flush:

Then, try changing your oil pressure sensor. You should be able to pick one up at any car shop. It screws into the block and has an electrical connection.

Why does my engine light come on after a oil change

Possibly they left the intake temperature sensor unplugged after checking the air filter, or knocked a wire loose when changing the oil filter.

Low oil pressure warning light comes on. oil level is ok

four theories.. two easy.. two not so easy.
one. oil filter is plugged.- change the filter
two. the pick up screen in the oil pan is clogged.- remove oil pan(if you go this far change the oil pump on speculation)
three. the oil pump itself is worn out of tolerance.- remove oil pan, change pump
four. the sensor is defective- change the sensor on side of engine.

We changed the oil and oil filter, changed the air filter, changed the fuel filter, changed the spark plugs, and put injection cleaner in our 1994 Ford Explorer Limited and we are getting horrible fuel...

Clean the throttle plate-CRC Throttle Body Cleaner
Clean the MAF Sensor--CRC MAF Cleaner

Have the O2 Sensors tested

If it is 10 years old, the exhaust
converter may be plugged,that's
not good and shouldn't happen

Check for vacuum leaks
A leak causes the O2 Sensors to add fuel,
to account for extra air

Make sure the air filter box and ALL
Ducting to throttle is air tight

Where the distributor cap is there is what looks

The oil pressure sensor is near the oil filter behind the distributor. I don't know if that is the sensor you're looking at. It usually gets damaged during an oil change when the filter is changed. The filter wrench slips and hits the sensor.

Can 2001 a4 quattro low oil light be reset

No, it goes out when the oil level is read to be correct. If you have the right amount of oil in the car, your pressure sensor is bad or you have oil sludge blocking the pickup tube at the oil pump. Run some Seafoam in the oil for 100 miles and then change the oil and filter (or if the pressure light stays on, add half a can of Seafoam and idle it for 20 minutes before changing the oil). Repeat 2-3 times and see if it goes away. If not, change the pressure sensor (on the oil cooler - the aluminum block the filter screws onto). If this still isn't a fix, you need a desludging kit from www.ecstuning.com. If THAT doesn't fix it, drop the oil pan and change the pickup tube and filter screen, clean out the pan, and repeat the Seafoam treatment.

LOW OR NO OIL PRESSURE ON A F150 4.9

Check the oil level. When was the oil filter replaced. Could be a bad oil pressure sensor. Could be a corroded connector on the oil pressure sensor. Clean and reattach.

2001 cheve venture (service engine soon) trouble light on

If ou fixed whatever happened during the oil change, the light will cycle off after about 3 drive cycles.

The check enine light just tells you that you are not meeting emissions right now. Only be concerned if it's flashing. That means you are sending unburned fuel to your catalytic converter whih will overheat and self destruct.

Look for a vacuum hose disconnected and check all the onnections to sensors such as, vehcile speed control sensor, mass air flow sensor, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft poition sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. Good luck.
