Question about Ford Econoline

1 Answer

The turn signals and warning lights on my 1997 Ford Econoline150 van are out. I do not have an owner's manual for it to tell me which fuse does what so I need to know which fuse is out if that is the problem.

It's most likely a fuse. Check your fuse panel or your owners manual to see where the fuse is located. The fuse will be called illumination cluster, or ignition cluster. That should solve the issue

you need to check fuses for parking lights, brake lights, and the other fuse could have been an add on for sound system or a towing package for alternative lights for a trailer or camper. you should have 2 flashers one is for 4 way emegency flashers and the other is for turn signals if all this is good, check for bad turn signal switch itself.when you turn the turn signal switch on does it click? see any smoke coming from steering column? if you ever see smoke at anytime coming from that turn signal switch, disconnect the battery immediatly! hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

Turn signal don't work. Brake lights work. Hazard lights work. Any ideas as to whether there is a flasher or fuse problem. I can't seem to locate a turn signal flasher.

yes there should be a fuse for turn signals and your owners manual will tell you where to look on the 7.3's it is under hood by master cylinder
