You have to be careful with that , as you need a special tool to remove the wires , other wise you might damage the plug wires. But if you can remove the wires , rest is easy , just remove the plug and replace , BUT MAKE SURE THAT THE CAR IS COLD when you do that

Where are the spark plugs located on a 2004 XJ8 (vandeplas) jaguar


Not being a smart Alec but the same place every car has them. Yours should have a plastic engine cover that you have to remove first. The plugs will then be visible in the standard locations on the cylinder heads.

Rav 4 misses under acceleration


well if engine is ok. No year, no engine stated, wow. !!!
misfire is bad combustion. (gas usa cars are my answers)
  1. never did a TUNEUP this decade? 60,000 miles tunes.?
  2. bad spark first.
  3. bad fueling next too rich causes misfire. lean bogs.
  4. misfire shakes engine hard, is it .
  5. does it misfire parked just racing engine?
  6. cause are many over 50, but if engine good way less, so what can it be (we do tests no Gue$$) bad spark plugs, leaking injectors execessive fuel pressure, bad TPS, sensor. map sensor issues, (even clogged) and others. no engine stated makes waxing smart, hard, way to hard so i quit here.

yes it is 2 plugs per CYL. one on the top and one at the bottom. you can remove the upper plugs from the top and the bottom ones from under the car. After removing the cables with the special tool , so that you will not damage the wires , just remove and replace the plugs

Cylinder 3 misfire


Misfire codes (including P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307 & P0308) indicate that there is a misfire in a cylinder, the last number indicates which cylinder has the problem. If something is causing a miss in random cylinders or is affecting all of them, a P0300 misfire code will be stored in the car's computer. It's always smart to begin with the basics. Also consider the mileage and service history when diagnosing a misfire. Higher mile vehicles are more inclined to have mechanical issues with the engines, like low compression from worn valves or rings etc. Any accompanying codes should also be considered in case they may be related. If the spark plugs are worn (excessive gap) or the car is past due for a tune up, it may be smart to go ahead and start with spark plugs and spark plug wires and go from there.
The most common misfire causes on the cars I've worked on have been:
  1. Spark plugs
  2. Spark plug wires
  3. Ignition coil
  4. Fuel injector
  5. Wiring to fuel injector
  6. Timing Belt (if eqipped)
  7. Vacuum leak or stuck open EGR
  8. Contaminated fuel or bad fuel pump
  9. Weak compression
  10. Blown head gasket

Changing spark plugs 4cy engine ,location of the spark plugs


In the 2.2 they are under the top coil assembly,
which is a long plastic peice with the igniton module on the right end with wiring connector hooked in it.
take the 4 10mm bolts loose from the top and the 10mm bolt holding the cable on the right side of the engine head and carefully unplug the wiring connector on the module. this will let you lift the coils assembly
out after removing the 4 bolts. the coil assembly is pressed into the rubbers which will need to be pulled out after coil assembly removal. the spark plugs will be in the holes. Use a 6 inch 3/8 drive extesion with 5/8 inch spark plug socket. after loosening the spark
plugs if they don't come out with the socket use a stick mechanics magnet to remove, it will pull on the metal on the end of the spark plug while you gently
pull them up. this will save you time if they drop into
the hole. make sure they are completely loose.
when you put he new sparks plugs in after gaping them to specs put the long rubber in each hole,
push with your thumb smartly to seat on the plug,
you will feel a slight click, then put the coil assembly
on and push smartly not to crack it then keep it level as you put the 10mm bolts in. put all the bolts in a few turns before tightening them one at a time.
