SOURCE: steps for replacing wiper motor for 1998 VW Jetta

remove wipers. remove plastic covering by loosening plastic screws first. unplug wiper motor wires. there are about three 10mm nuts at the motor location and you also have to unscrew the big nuts that were below the wipers when you unscrewed them. replacement is reversal.

VW golf Window washer not working

You may have a problem with the communication link from main module(electrics) to the wiper motor or the wiper motor could be a culprit. Also make sure that the wiper motor fuse is good. It needs to be scanned for code to make sure there is a communication link.

Windscreen wipers and washers need diagram 1992 t4 vw camper van

Nobody is going to give you an exact wire trace here, I can bet my bottom dollar on it. You will need to painstakingly trace your wiring from the wiper switch on the steering column to the relay and then to the fuse box, then to the wiper motor to discover your fault.
Please stay in touch.

Wipers get stuck in the upright position when they are turned off.

The wire part contacts are defective, you will need to replace the wiper motor in most cases to correct this. Before buying or replacing any parts have a VW experienced tech look at the problem.

2000 VW jetta VR6 windshield wipers wont work

first try the fues box see if you have a blown fues, next if you put your wipers on can you hear the motor running for them? if you can the linkage has poped off from the motor, its a bit awkward to get it back on and no gaurentee that it will saty on, you might have to replace linkage, or, it might be the cogs on the actual wiper arms have splayed and are now smooth so they dont grip to move, you can take them off by the nut on the arm , get a can (coke can or simular) cut a rectangle out of it the hight and width if the cog, rap it round the cog, (make sure it does not overlap on the ends) and force the arm back into place and then do the nut up, this is just a short quick fix if that is the case you will have to replace the motor, also you can check the relay to the motor in the fues box, give it a tap a couple of times it might work again if not replace it...hope you find these sugestions helpful

I have a T25 Transporter 1990 ,front wipers won`t

It sounds like the park switch inside the wiper motor has failed or a bad contact. If you can get to the motor, remove the plate/cover and you should see a micro switch, check it for broken wires or clean contacts. If you dont feel comfortable doing this, then take the car to an auto electrician, he should be able to sort it.
Hope this helps

Unplug wires at the motor. Then with the wipers switched on check for a 12 volt reading. If you are getting 12 volts then your wiper motor needs replacing If your not getting 12 volts then the switch is faulty replace it.Good luck.
