There should be a level check/fill plug about half way up on the transaxle, about even with where the axle shafts go into the transaxle. Take the plug out and refill with oil till it just starts to ooze out the hole, then replace the plug.

A 97 2.6LT 2 wheel drive auto Rodeo, took box out when i put it back in it haze no gears like its not getting oil,.why

the problem may be in the installation process of the box
the correct procedure is to put the torque converter onto the shaft of the transmission first and push it all the way back to engage the oil pump for the transmission
install the transmission then pull the torque converter forward to install the bolts through the flexi plate
putting the torque converter in first then putting the box up generally results in the drive for the oil pump not connecting properly in the torque converter

Cracking sound upon switchin the gear between D, R

No not necessary to change the oil also its a dealer only job to change the oil as a special tool is required ,i would need to hear the noise and have a drive to have any idea as to the cause but a worn drive shaft or a rubber suspension is my first suspect

Oil leak from driveshaft n/s

not sure if you can interchange the manual & aut shafts, but you should check to see if there is excessive play where the shaft enters the gear box if so the diff bearings my be worn, if there is no play or noises from gear box when driving, remove the shaft again an try the seal on the shaft to check it's a proper fit, before fitting seals it is a good idea to leave them soaking in oil for a few hours prior to fitting

hope this helps

Rpms go up and car dont move changed fuel pump n catalyst converter

IF the RPMs go up and your car dont go any where then it must be either you havent put it in gear ,
OR the gear box if Auto Matic ,the pumps or the torque convertor /or the body valve /or the micro filter on the pick up pipe is clogged up and not letting the oil past into the pumps and inturn working the drive bands.
OR if its a Manual g/box then if you select 1st or 2nd gear and it doesent drive then its the clutch driven plate is either worn out/or broken Input shaft, or tail shaft ????????????.
Butif you got the rpms then the engine is fine and you dident need a fuel pump/or converter.. Let me know how you get on.. RON

Removal of drive shafts

Hi
Take a tyre lever a put in between the g/box and inner cv joint put slight pressure but be sure you are not catching the oil seel, Then give the Cv a slight knock away from the g/box. It has a cir clip inside that keeps it from moving out while driving.
