SOURCE: Location of blower motor switch resistor on 2004 Grand Marquis

The blower speed controller is located under the hood on the right or passenger side on the heater housing just to the side of the heater hoses near the very back of the right cylinder head.
Yes that would cause the concern you are having.

SOURCE: powerwindow on 1996 grand marquie not working,

You need a part called a "Regulator". This part can be installed within an hour. Glass shops routinely do this job and it can be done while you wait.

Now that you know what the part is, you can call around for the price of the part and installation. The door panel and the switches on the door will have to be removed. The broken plastic Regulator will have to be removed and a new Regulator threaded into the gears of the Window motor.

Heater and airconditioner control on mercery grand marquis

If the fan will not run on ANY speed in your Grand Marquis, the problem is most likely NOT the control switch.

Check for power and ground at the blower motor connector. If power and ground is present, replace the blower motor. Otherwise, the problem is most likely a failed blower speed control module (VERY common). The blower motor speed controller is located in the A/C evaporator housing just below the heater hoses.

Note: It is also common for a bad blower motor to CAUSE the controller to go bad. You MAY have to replace BOTH.

The blower motor stays on high all the time. A/C works but will not come out dash vents, comes out defrost and changes to floor when I accelerate. Thanks for your help. Cecil

Your problem with the blower motor only running on high is caused by a defective blower motor resistor pack. Replace the resistor pack. The problem with the vents is not related to the blower motor, and is caused by a problem with the vent controls. I suspect you have a vacuum leak under the dash.

Blower stopped working on my 2001 Mercury Grand marquis

Check the fuse first. If the fuse is good then either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor pack is defective. Check the blower motor by applying 12 volts directly to the motor. If it runs it is good and most likely the resistor pack is bad and needs replacing. it can also be the blower motor speed control but rarely do they go bad.

Blower blows all the time. In June I had the part that directs the air replaced. Then the blower blew all the time and now it is doing it again 2008 Grand Marqui

If the blower blows all the time even when the ignition is off I would replace the blower motor control module( could be called the blower motor resister).

My 2004 grand marquis blower motor runs only on high so I assume its the resistor. Where is it located & what does it look like? Thanks! Bill

Its under the hood, just to the right and down of where the heater hoses connect on the firewall. It will have 4 wires going to it.

There is a blower realy. Which steps the voltage up or down. If it fails it will run 12 volts or HIGH speed only... Replace that and your good.
