04 jetta - psgr seat heater stopped working - suggestions to fix?

The driver's side seat heater works fine, but the psgr seat heater doesn't heat up any more. I checked the fuse box, only 1 fuse for both seats apparently. Anything else I should be checking, keep my girlfriend happy!!??

I just had the same problem yesterday, Feb.25th, 2009, on my 2003 Jetta TDI. I had taken my car to VW Centreville in Montreal and they tested it and suggested that the switch on the Dashboard needed to be replaced. I gave them the go-ahead to fix it.

However, after I paid them 120$ (62$+labor) and drove away, I found that the heater wasn't working. I took the car back the next day and they refunded 62$ for the parts but no refund on the labor. I should have tested the seat before I paid. I should have asked for a refund on the labor. I should never go back to those guys in Montreal; although maybe this is fair and standard practice in the auto-service industry, in which case maybe I shouldn't be so cynical about those guys.

I'm still on the hunt for remedies for this seat heater problem...

I have a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE and the heated seat on the driver side stopped working. I had the fuse labeled for the heated seat (which I believe was 20a) and it was blown. The buttons for the heated...

Replace the fuse with one the same rating. If the seat now works.... smile. If the new fuse blows or the heat does not work you may have a short (or a broken wire) inside the seat that's causing the problem. It's an 11 year old seat.... tearing it apart to find the source may not be worth it.

My 06 jetta keeps blowing fuse for heater and heated seats, fan motor sounds good when running

I had the same problem after a weekend trip, I found that the 50 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood was blow, this other things that stopped working with this was the seat wouldn't adjust, the seat heater wouldn't work, and when we locked the car it wouldn't beep. When searching for the problem I found that the tube going to the window washer in the hood was broken at the hinge and while working on this the short at the fuse location went away and everything started working. I read that the problem was the heated window washer nozzles that were shorting out, if this happens again I will be unplugging them. Now that I fixed that problem the airbag light has came on and will not go off.

Heated, power seats not working

Check wiring under the seat. Frequent habit of pushing things under the seat such as flashlights and tools etc and moving the seat forward and back sometimes pulls wires or breaks them.

There was a recall on some of these cars for the heated seats. Call a stealership and have them run your VIN # to see if you are part of it.

Heated driver seat doesn't heat on 2003 ford explorer

this is a common problem if you use the seat heater alot.one or both of the seat heater elements will have burned up or broken.where i live it is very cold most of the time and i have replaced hundreds of the seat heater elements.it is rare for it not to be one or both of the elements.
