Question about 2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible
There is a fuse that you should check on the back of the radio. some times this blows and causes strange problems.

Did they replace the brake pad wear sensor? If so, try leaving the key in the on postion for 30-45 seconds (dont start the car) This is how we reset the lights on BMW's and the Mini's use a similar system for service lights

The oil filter is on the right rear corner of the engine as you look at it from the front of the car. It is an aluminum cap with a 36mm nut on the top.

the fuse is actually not located in the radio itself at all...if you look to the left hand side of the drivers foot you will see a small plastic panel that can be removed...in there you will see a string uf fuses that are color coded in regards to their amperage and a small diagram as to which each fuse controls...the obvious looking one wil be the radio...also there should be a set of replacement fuses provided in the panel...best of luck

The dial should come up slowly to just a hair above the center point. This should happen within the first few minutes of driving.
