Question about 2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited Sedan
Digital dash went off when alternator went out i replaced alternator and battery but dash did not come on .Why won't my dash come back on ?
I would first check the fuse for the dash, since that should be simple and a cheap fix. If not, the light in the dash may need replacement. The final and most difficult possibility would be a fault in the wiring between the dash lights and the power source.

it's most likely the blower resistor, which is located under the hood on the passengers side in the evaporator case. if you have manual a/c heat control this is a cheap fix, if you have auto temp control it is a very expensive part [around 200.00] good luck

You can take the car to Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan.
If you happen to need a digital dash, you can get one at a Salvage yard. Since you mentioned burned wiring, your car insurance may cover some of the repair under fire insurance. Give them a call.
Most likely since the A/C and radio worked, they are okay. The failure could be the dash display.

You say t pump is coming on, but do you fuel coming up to the fuel injector rail? You can check for fuel by pushing down the valve located at the left front side of fuel rail. It looks like a tire air fill stem. Be very careful as fuel is under 40 psi pressure and can spray all over the place. do this with engine OFF and have a rag to cover the valve. Just press with tip of screwdriver and be sure valve is covered. If a little gas come out,you know you have fuel. If not gas then check fuel delivery system i.e pump, filter, lines or pickup tube.
If there is fuel in the rail, then there is most likely a problem with the control module (computer).
Check for fault codes with an OBD II reader. You can usually rent one at your local part store. You can look up fault codes to find out where the problem might lie.
