SOURCE: when i fill up the

You probably have a leak in the fill tube that goes from the gas cap nozzle (where you fill the gas) down to the tank. If you get under the car, or look up through the wheel well (you might have to remove the liner in the well), you should be able to see the fill tube. If it's old, cracked, worn, broken, or has a hole in it, that'd do it for sure. That's my bet anyhow - either a leaking tube due to damage/rust, or if it's a two-piece design, a clamp that has failed and isn't sealing the two halves together.

SOURCE: fuel spills out when I fill up.

I've found with our different vehicles that each one is different; one will shut off continuously, one not soon enough to avoid spitting (this one I do have to listen for), the other likes to have the nozzle at 90 degrees to avoid early shutoff. Try tilting the nozzle toward the front or back of the vehicle to see if you can avoid the messy gusher.

SOURCE: Problem with fuel tank filling. Pump nozzle shuts off

get the filler hose checked out as it may have a spring inside it to hold its shape or something has been dropped inside restricting it!

SOURCE: 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Trouble filling gas tank.

The tank vent pipe may be blocked or kinked, it usually branches off the main tank filler pipe and can be seen from under the car.

SOURCE: while filling the gas tank the pump clicks off

Typical **** Ford design. Try rotating the bowser nozzle (in the filler hole while fueling) to 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock or 9 o'clock, or even upside down if necc. Or you can try pulling the trigger part-open instead of 'flat-chat' (fast fill) Problem common to 5-10% of cars, good luck.

Drain the fuel tank 2005 Mercury Marquis

Here is how to do it. There is a valve in the injector tubing that is used to test pressure. The valve inside it is like a valve stem. Use a valve stem remover and unscrew this part.

Have a piece of fuel line hose and clamp it to the injector rail stem and then run the hose to a gas can. Be careful to insulate where you set the gas can with newspapers or rubber mats.

Then turn on the ignition switch to run. Allow the fuel to fill 1 gas can at a time and shut the key off. The pump needs to rest as you are moving more gas this way than the engine could possibly use.

I moved about 14 gallons of gas in about 20 minutes this way including dumping the collected gas into another vehicle. Now I removed the fuel pump relay and bypassed it, but in hindsight it should work like I am showing you. My crankshaft sensor was bad and if yours is good you probably do not need to bypass the fuel pump relay.

Every few cents the gas pump clicks, no fuel gauge

Could be the fuel tank breather is blocked.
Lots of fuel tanks are wide and slim these days and formed to fit the body profile so they have one or more humps that are higher than the filler pipe entry. It would be quite impossible to fill such a fuel tank if the top of the hump(s) weren't vented.

Because the fuel tank these days must be a closed container except when filling, such vent pipes would be connected to a branch of the filler pipe above the maximum fuel level to ensure the tank can be filled and to minimise blowback during filling.

Can't pump gas in my tank went to 3 drifferernt gas stations due to senors that wasn't it.. hose down no blocking found... some one said air can't exit try to get that out but no money to pay...

Sometimes that little metal flap that was covering the hole where you put the gas can break and fall in. causes a blockage. Another thing, i used to have a Buick Regal that i had to hold the gas nozzle hard to one side and pump really slowly to get gas in. If all else fails, get a 5 gallon plastic gas can, fill that up, then poor it down your car gas tank. Alot of work, but its cheap.

2004 hyundai accent. trouble filling gas tank

I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent, It is not possible to fill the tank if you are letting the petrol pump run at full speed.Trying to fill up quickly it will only build up pressure and cut off. Next time you fill up just pull the petrol pump handle half way, it will take longer to fill but you wont get the blow back. Modern petrol pumps are getting quicker all the time.Hope this helps you.
