Sounds like a charging problem, it's probably discharging.

2010 3500 diesel automatic backup lights wont turn off

The reverse lights are turned on by the transmission range selector switch, it may be out of adjustment or defective. It is located on the transmission case on the drivers side of the truck. Isn't this still under warranty? 3/36?

Always check your ground FIRST. Nothing will ever work without having a good ground between the truck and trailer. Never concern yourself with the lights not working till you've assured a good ground is existing.

Take your truck to you local Auto Zone or Advance Auto and ask them to scan your truck for trouble codes. If none are available in your area, you may need to find a dealer or repair facility in your area to have the codes checked.
Write the trouble codes down and respond back and we can get started diagnosing.

Where is the turn signal fuse on a 2001 Dodge 3500 diesel truck? I changed the flasher and that didn't fix the problem of no turn signals or four way flashers.

This problem sounds like one I have faced several times on my 2001 diesel Dodge. The culprit has been a fuse under the hood in the fuse panel on the driver's side, up near the steering column. Look through the clear top of the fuses you see, chances are excellent that you will find a green one with the little electrode "popped". This is common when you plug a round trailer plug in upside down, or otherwise ground a powered circuit for the lights through the trailer plug. Simply pull and replace, I keep a couple spares in the glove box because of this problem. Also, if you use the truck to go to the auto parts store, keep in mind that you have no brake lights either. Hope this works for you.

2001 dodge diesel doesn't have brake lights.

Sounds like a short in your wiring. Have you checked the bulbs and you could have bought a bad brake light switch. Try having somone step on the brake lights and use a test light to see if your getting current back there
