SOURCE: tail lights and brake lights not working with headlights on

We had the same problem with ours, that is a Saturn recall items. Check with your Saturn dealer to see if it is still in effect. It use to make our headlight switch get hot. I think it was a poor ground in the taillight housing, I use to wiggle the bulb plug-ins and that helped for a while, but after the recall was fixed it never did it again.

SOURCE: bulbs keep burning out

When you replace headlights in today's cars, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS OF THE BULB!. Handle the bulb only with the packing material the bulb ships in, or with a clean dry cloth. The oils in your skin will cause premature failure of the bulb.

Also, check the sockets (car side) carefully to make sure they are not burned.

SOURCE: Right brake light out; tail light works fine

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

There is a harness that you unplugged for the rear tail lamp. Make sure it is fully pressed and locked. This is always the cause on jags for tail lamp failure.

Brake lights do not work. I changed the fuse.

You need to replace the brake light switch. It should be near the top of the brake pedal.

Your brake light switch, which is located on the brake pedal, has malfunctioned. If you replace that your pedals will go back to working. When they go bad one or more brake lights will not work when the brake pedal is pressed but will work all other times. The reason is because the light doesn't "know" that the pedal is being pressed because it isn't getting the signal from the switch. Let me know if you have any further questions. Left and right brake light doesn't work but center lights does

check behind the brake peadle for a little button that pushes in and out when the peadle is pressed(this is your brake light switch) some cars have more than one of theese. manualy let the button out if the light works the switch is good if it does not disconect the harness from the switch and take a small piece of wire and jump the two prongs on the harness if the brake lights come on then you need a brake light switch. if this doesnt work check for power at the switch. if no power you have a bad fuse if there is power and you already jumped the wires to the switch then you have a broken wire between the switch and the tail lights.
