To check the Ground with a test light, attach the Ground clamp to 12 volts + and touch the tip to ANY Ground and the light will light-up. With a Voltmeter, touch one end to a known positive + (your fuse box is closest), and touch the Body of the blower motor and you should read 12 Volts either + or - , but if it has 12 Volts, then the body or ground of the blower motor is good. Could be the body ground to the body connection under the hood.

SOURCE: blower motor does not work

I had the same problem, replace, replace, replace. Check, check and recheck. What I found was the blower motor resistor, located in the blower squirrel cage area, two prongs and a curly wire, was bad. Took the new one back, (it ohmed out okay, continuity ok, all ok!) replaced it with another, and Bingo, problem solved. Frustrating to say the least. After two relays and a blower switch, and test, test and retest. It was a faulty resistor. Made in Mexico. And no guarentee, even though new, it works. Trial and error. Even the dealer parts are Honcho en Mexico. Thanks NAFTA. You gonna make us all welfare babies.

blower fuse is 30amp. underhood fuse box and heater control is 10amp.under dash fuse box.disconnect the blower and connect test light to two wire to blower connector and recheck. check separate purple wire for power and orange for ground by turning different speed on the switch. If no ground replace the resistor (4 wire connector) next to the motor on heater box.

Heater blower won't come on

Could be the blower motor relay, the control panel on the dash, or the resistor.
You would need to check the blower motor for power and ground then work back to the fuse. I think the relay is in the box near the battery.

No power showing for the ground wire for fan blower motor in 2003 Dodge Caravan se

very confused with diagnostics of this motor

if power was going to earth ..the fuse or relay would blow ..blower motor would spin
if it blows the fan fuse or relay something is wrong with the on /off switch for the blower
picture is the 2003 heater system

if no better make up a new earth wire to chassis for the blower motor

CHECK SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR IF YES BLOWER MOTOR EITHER BAD OR HAS POOR GROUND SHORT IN WIRING CONNECTOR GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR AND RESISTOR.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR 30 AMP FUSE OR RELAY.IF BLOWER MOTOR OKAY AND FUSE RELAY OKAY THE AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH COULD BE BAD.

I have 2002 infinity I35 and the blower motor stop working ,I took out the blower motor to make sure was good. YES the blower motor still working .the only think I really don't know how to check is Blower...

WELL YOU HAVE TO USE A VOLT METER CONNECT ONE VOLT METER WIRES TO GOOD GROUND AND THE OTHER VOLT METER WIRES GOES TO EACH SWITCH SPEED.IF VOLT METER GET VOLTAGE A 1 OR 2 CONTROL SPEED RESISTOR BAD.IF RESISTOR BAD YOU WILL GET 1 OR 2 BLOWER MOTOR SPEEDS.IF BLOWER MOTOR WORKING.CHECK THE AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH FUSE OR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL GOOD SO FAR CONTROL SWITCH ITSELF COULD BE FAULTY.

I change the blower motor and the blower still doesn't work

check The blower motor resistor pack/fan speed controller is in the engine compartment near the receiver drier at the passenger side rear of the engine compartment. see if any power to motor, if power but still does not work, check for a bad ground.if fuses and relay are good, then you may have a bad heater switch. check the relay and fuses first.

Blower motor will not blow fuse relay motor are ok

it could be that the motor itself is bad there is a relay inside the motor as well give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if it was me i would checkout one at a good salvage yard give this website a try to find one close to you give this website a try www.junkyarddog.com wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

No power getting to the front blower

no. the relays coil is fused # 12 fuse 10 amp and the other side is going directly to ground. the main power for blower goes through that relay and it is fused at # 107 and it is a 40 amp fuse. now the heater control unit witch is what they dials are controls the ground to the blower motor at different resistances with is determine by the dial to change speed.

now if you don't have power with key on at the blower motor i would check them to fuses and if they are okay you need to check the ground at relay socket witch will be the corresponding cavity for # 85 on the relay. if you have all of that and sill no power at blower replace relay.

but to tell you what i see most common is the blower resistor for the motor.

let me know if you have any more question and good luck
