After it starts back up, I can drive it for days/weekd before the next event. No other symptoms runs GREAT til the second it dies. Then runs great the second it starts back up. Weird.

After the initial 3 cutoffs fo my car, it stopped happening. 9 months later it did it again and a local shop replaced 2 sensors that finally showed up as a code. Perfect since.

SOURCE: Sudden loss of power while driving

One thing you should notice that could tell you if the the engine is misfiring is that the check engine light will flash. If it dose it is saying you have a misfire in either one or more cylinders. If the check engine light dose not flash then it could be more of a fuel pump related issue. but as I said 1st thing would be to check the code... then i could tell you whats going on. good luck

SOURCE: 1998 town & country. It won't start again.

We had the same problem. It was the circuit board in the dash. There were crackes in one of the solder spots. My mechanic removed the dash and did a spot solder on the place with the cracks. It has worked for two months. It seems the solder spot was with a too cool of a solder when it was manufactured. Do it yourself or get your mechanic to fix the probem.

Carburetor in my 84 nissan pickup will not idle down from 3500 rpm, why won't it idle down

Hi Shane,I have a 85 Nissan 720 4x4 with the 2.4 engine, had her for 22 years, our trucks have bad carburators, when I bought mine used,it had 108,000 miles on it and my carb started giving me problems, with the ideling, took it and had it rebuilt by 3 different carb shops at 200 a whop,no one could get it right,so I took it to the Nissan Dealer, they told me that they couldn't rebuilt it cause the bottom part is not assible, and told me that they were a bad design,so I did some research and found out about Weber carburators,so I bought one from redline, they cost 269.00 with kit,it's been on my 720 for 6 years now, plus I got a new remanufactured engine from Jasper engines and had a jasper installer put in in at the same time I put the new weber in.I spent a fortune trying to get the stock carb. right.I have 328,000 miles on the truck and it runs perfect.I plan on keeping my truck forever and that's the reason I put alot of money in it,A couple of months ago I redid the interior,it is now gray, was black,I live in Georgia and it is hot. Here's a video of mt Weber conversion,I have more pics and videos in you would like to see.My phone number is 706-580-6110 and my name is Tommy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5Fe9N0q2Kk

I am looking to replace the engine in my 2002 Chrysler Town & Country LX 3.3 Do I have to replace it with same year engine for specific model?

i think you can go up to 2007 but must be 3.3 and you need PCM from donor car or a match, so everything syncs. you can get rebuilt blocks to fit your car . if you get a pull out , get it rebuilt before the install. Will last long time, like a new engine, don't want to do it again or even head gasket or timing chain later. If changing trans also need TCM. if car has no rust you will get another 15 years. Good Luck!!

I have a 1991 K-Blazer that we rebuilt a high output jasper engine for that came out of a 1984 Caprice, it keeps fouling the plugs after only running for a short while

EGR valve sticking or bad vacuum leak, might be a place to start. I presume the ECM, control module are functioning properly?

Subaru loyale 1.8 check engine light will not go off

Hi could be a whole list of things. If the car has been rebuilt and runs good its most likely just a minor prob best bet it to get it tested and an auto electrician, it will only take a short time and the scan tool will get the exact code to identify the prob.

Where can i find a good rebuilt engine for 1990 Excel

You can buy rebuilt engines through your local auto parts store or look on-line for companies like Jasper. Also, some mail order auto parts dealers like JC Whitney sell engines.

New engine for '92 Camry wagon?

a new engine is $25-35,000 dollars(if Toyota even has them) The rebuilt engines are very good. 3 yrs-unlimited miles on repairs/replace engine. Get a name brand engine like Jasper or Atk or BulletProof or Gopher. These ARE Toyota engines rebuilt(sometime better than original) The transmission has evidently been a great one(mine has 185,000 miles).<p>
You've done great on this car. But to replace engine and transmission; you looking labor and parts:$7-8,000. If you fix it, it will last forever, and you'll know it's good.<p>
Or you could buy a certified used Toyota, and buy an extended warranty.<p>
The only other thing is to buy new-$20-25,000 for a new Camary v/6 ( I don't know if they even make the wagon anymore)<p>
I hope this has helped. Good Luck with whatever you decide.
