I just swapped a 4.7 engine in my 2002 jeep grand cherokee and now it wont turn over, there is power and the security system light comes up on the dash

fix security first. if that is and immobilizer, it will be immobile.
check all fuses. and battery charge,
the battery needs to be at 12.6v , at rest.
if you pulled engine with the battery connected , you did blow the mains. (main fuses)
blow alt main, or others. in the engine bay you will.

I can't get the vehicle information center in my 96 Jeep grand Cherokee to work no lights, warning, nothing, can't locate exact fuse but all looks good?

I would start with the Fuse Box under the hood. Start by pulling the Fuse's 1 at a TIME!! I have done it befor time & time agean. It's probley by the Battery. It's a black box that has " Main Fuse " or something alone that line. There just like the Fuses under the Dash, BUT BIGGER! They can be hard to tell if they blew. I have done it so, much that I know. If it's not that I would check the Fuse Box in the Dash. Jerry Dunn

Where is the fuse for the brake lights for a 2001 poniac grand prix?

you have three choices. check bulbs. there is a main fuse box under the hood on passenger side. its a black box and has relays in it. underside lid lists all fuses and relays. the other fuse box is or should be on the passenger side (end of the dash if the door is open, you will see a small cover panel) also open glove box and on the right side of it, you will see a small panel (inside the right hand side of the glove box) that reads pull to access fuse panel. you may need a flash light to see this. there is a interior light in there, if its working to see the fuse panel. hope this helps

Dash lights and tail lights don't work

Lights and electrical circuits are sometimes in pairs so that you notice something is wrong (tail lights and dash). On a '90 merc grand marq., that would be fuse #4,the 15 amp blue one, in the panel next to your left foot. If you are lucky,it
just failed from age. If you are not lucky, there is a short in the system containing
the dash, tail, parking, side marker, license lamps and trailer tow relay if equiped.I had to replace the push/pull main light switch which was shorted. If you are lucky, just replacing the fuse in the panel will do it. Referance Grand Marquis Owners Manual for fuses and function.

Panel lights won't turn on

It is a 10 amp fuse labled INST LPS on the right Junction Block... Open the right door, there should be a little pull off panel on the end of the dash... it's under that, pull the panel off and look at the questionable fuse.

1996 GRAND CHEROKEE BATTERY DRAWING 400 MILLIAMPS

Pretty good chance that your 50A fuse feeds the fuse block inside the car. To test, pull the fuse & check fuse block for power. If I'm right, then start by replacing main fuse and pulling individual fuses on block, till draw disappears. then check which system that fuse feeds. most common: glovebox light lid not closed all the way or interior light malfunction. However, control modules can give similar results.
