Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on where door sticks)

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.

Other causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.

2008 Ranger cools ok , but no heat .

The temp knob has a vacuum switch on it. A vacuum line goes from the intake manifold to the control. When you turn to cold, the vacuum switch sends vacuum to the valve to close and shut off heater core.

My 2008 Ford f-450 with the 6.4 tubodeisal is cutting out at 1800rpm n or out of drive also dash say check brake system and won't build boost

You might have a problem with the vacuum pump or the brake booster diaphragm is leaking vacuum. Disconnect vacuum line at pump with engine off and draw vacuum through this disconnected line. If the line will not hold vacuum, find the leak.

No heat but a/c ok

Either your heater blend door is stuck or the vacuum line to the blend door has fallen off.
Was your heater working before? It is possible that the heater core was bypassed due to a leak (not uncommon in Ford products).

Why is my blower only blowing out of my defrost in my 2008 mustang

The A/C and heat is regulated by a vacuum activated door under the dash called the actuator door. There may be a vacuum leak causing the door not to work. Check under the hood on the driver's side. There is a vacuum manifold that provides vacuum for several different functions inside and underneath the hood. One will be marked A/C and have an arrow leading to the proper hose. Check all the hoses for leaks because if one leaks it will affect all the vacuum for all the other functions. Vacuum leak may be the problem.

My problem is every one wants paid to help fix our 2008 crown vic enterceptor the heat and air will not work correctly

When you say not work correctly. is the air only blowing through the defroster vent? If it is, you have a loss of vacuum to the ventilation controls. The vacuum originates from the engine and goes to the ventilation controls via a vacuum tank. The tank generallly looks like a plastic ball with 2 vacuum lines attached to it under the hood. Check the lines to ensure they're connected.

2002 econoline ac front heat rear is problem. Plenty of ac in the front but heat blowing from bottom vents in passenger rear of van.

Heat and a/c is controlled by a vacuum servo on the rear heater box. if vacuum is lost then the servo defaults to heat. I recomment removing the rear left quarter trim to access the vacuum servo(servo cylindrical and a little smaller than 1/2 soup can, it has a flat metal rod sticking out). Use a vacuum pump to test the servo and see if it moves and holds vacuum. If it doesn't work them replace it. If it does work then test to see if there is vacuum at the hose that attaches to the servo (with engine running try test in both a/c and heat modes) it should have vacuum in a/c mode. If no vacuum is present then you will have to trace the vacuum line back to the heater contol head looking for splits or cracks. At the heat control head you can test to see if vacuum comes from the control head or not. I suggested starting in the rear because servo failure is rather common since it is only used seasonally.
I hope this helped. This is all based on a ford factory system. Your vehicle description says "cutaway" so if it has the ford rear system this will work. If it is not a ford system then I would need more info as to what kind of system it is.
