SOURCE: 2003 Honda Civic -LX Timing belt

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.

Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Focus ZX5 Steering Wheel

All you need is two inexpensive things to fix this. 1. Hammer and 2. WD-40. First, put the key in the ignition and tap it with the hammer. (this should unlock the steering wheel and the iginition) Second, spray some WD-40 in the key opening on the ignition, then put the key in again and proceed to tap it some more with the hammer. (WHEN I SAY TAP THE HAMMER I DO NOT MEAN HIT IT WITH FULL FORCE)... Any who keep put WD-40 and tapping it until you can turn the key without the help of the hammer... (should be at least 4 times) THE PROBLEM IS THAT WITH TIME DEBRI BUILDS UP IN THE IGNITION, AND THIS CAUSES THE STEERING TO LOCK UP WHEN YOU PLACE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE HAMMER UNLOCKS THE SPRINGS IN THE IGNITION AND THE WD-40 CONVERTS THE DEBRI TO LIQUID SO IT CAN CLEAN THE IGNITION...

SOURCE: 2003 honda accord/ key wont turn, steering wheel is

To fix your problem, you have to turn the steering wheel either to the left or right as much as you can, then try to turn the key in the ignition. When the steering wheel locks, the key won't turn. By manually holding the steering wheel out of the lock position, the key will turn again and you're steering column will be back to normal.

My ignition switch on my 2003 civic .is not working. i can put the key in but it wont turn forward or backwards. what should i do?

Have you tried to turn the steering wheel side-to-side, while turning the key?
The steering wheel may be very hard to turn, but moving it just a little may free-up the key
Sometimes parking against a curb, or turning off the car while the steering is turned all the way to one side, will cause the stering wheel lock to actually lock the key cylinder from turning.

this will not harm the system as long as you don't hold it in the locked position, and that will just damage the pump after years of doing that.si the answer is no.

Anti lock brakes

Often the vehicle's VIN number will have a digit that indicates whether you have ABS or not, and they can enter your VIN number to see whether you do. I'm surprised they didn't try this, but it may not be the case with Honda. If you have ABS, there will be a wheel speed sensor at each corner of the car, plugged into the wheel hub. You could check for that.
