SOURCE: just changed the battery on my skoda fabia vrs

The easiest way to reset the computer coding system is to unhook your battery and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. If the code comes back on after starting your car then whatever is causing the code is still happening.

Beware that you will most likely need to know the code to unlock your radio if it has the theft protection built in where if power is unhooked from the radio the radio is locked until you follow the procedure outlined in your owners manual with a code to get it back working. If you don't have the code, your Volkswagen dealer can help you out as well.

SOURCE: Good afternoon, I have a Skoda Fabia Combi 1.4 TDI...

It can be the wheel Hub bearings. The rotors if warped will wear out pads early. Bad calipers are another possibility as well as a bad Master cylinder.

If the Hub bearings are bad your tires will have cupping. If the tires are okay the rotors are warping from contact with the pads. The pads won't release if the calipers are jamming OR the Master Cylinder is keeping pressure to the calipers.

You can get a pressure check done on the Master cylinder to see if the pressure is releasing when your foot is off the brake. If the pressure is releasing then the calipers are probably sticking. Make sure to use new brake hardware and a lubricate for the hardware when you assemble the calipers.

Skoda Fabia 1.4tdi 2008 starting trouble after engine given rest. Especially in morning. Takes long self.

I am suspecting an air problem in the fuel system. Check that all fittings and filters are tight as if fuel drains back over night the when you try staring in the morning the air in the system will not let it start.. Bleed out any air from any bleed screws.
