Whine in transfer case

proper oil in transfer case ? most transfer cases have a separate oil reservoir, heavy duty off roading sometimes makes a hole in oil seals and oil leaks out , I allways wash off all my oil seals surfaces after a visit to the MUD PIT saves me a ton on fixing seals

Misfires and makes a rattle noise when reducing acceleration and shakes at idle

Spark plugs, wires, coils. The rattle is most likely a heat shield on the exhaust. Or it is the catalyst converter.

I have a '08 Ford F150 FX4. Recently I had to use my 4 H for a short drive. I had no issues until a couple of days later, when I notice a rattling noise in 2H, which sounded like a rattling noise si

If it isn't a heat shield or something like that,
then your pulling the transfer & taking it apart

Google your transfer mfg case or unit number & see what
problems come up

I have a infiniti i35it hestitates to start..,cuts of anywhere and when i accelerate it makes a loud rattling noise..the cars shakes really bad and go in and out like it wants to shut off and it kicks...

I would run the fault codes and look for problems in the air/ fuel ratio control sensors.. The noise under acceleration is detonation from uncontrolled combustion from the incorrect air / fuel ratio for the engine RPM's and throttle opening. I would not say bad coil packs as they cause more misfiring . Check for cam/ crank position sensors fault as well.

Transfer case/or cats

If you are not feeling the vibration through the wheel, or the seat, it is likely a baffle in the catalytic converter, or if you still havve the stainless outer shields, one of those may have a pair of broken welds. Tap it and you will hear it bang If so, it is easy enough to peal off. if you weld it, make sure it is stainless filler rod or wire..

Crawling under and looking to make sure nothing is dangling loose like rusted exhaust clamps ot the parking brake cable flopping about, is a good idea too.

When accelerating the truck vibrates and feels like tires are rubbing on fender well or something

It might be the universal joints in the driveshaft are worn out or busted. Or something might be wrong in the rear end or transfer case if its a 4x4.

Four wheel drive out probable stripped makes rattling noise and does not work any more

there's a couple of things but it will require a transfer case rebuild
either it is the drive chain in the transfer case that broke or ford also installed a plastic shift disk that breaks about every 600 miles of 4X4 use it is part of the planitary set

Rattle noise when I let go of the accelerator. The faster I go and then slow down, the louder the rattle noise

Have a look at the shrouds around your exhaust system, they are prone to shaking loose and rattle on over run.
Try giving your exhaust a bang ( with your hand when it is cold) and see if it causes the noise . Follow the noise.
Sometimes the baffles fall off inside the muffler and rattle around inside too.
Happy hunting!!

Loud ticking/knocking/rattling sound when I start/accelerate

hi is it miss-firing as it sounds like a knocking noise can be anything but if you can feel it on the accelerater pedal then the noise sounds like its on the inlet valve side which would transfere the noise up the throttle body where the accelerater is located it could be something as simple as a tappet come loose to a burned valve you need to have a look do a compression test and take the rocker cover off see if theres anything come loose yates210456
