Have you taken it to get the wheel balanced. if that doesn't fix the problem you need to check the wheel rim is not damaged

Check the condition of your tires and suspension. this problem is usually caused by bad component or alignment. Special attention is given to camber and caster.

2001 chrysler town country shakes running at 40mph but stops shaking when it reaches 60mph


Could be a tire out of balance, a drive axle, or something in the engine.
Is the check engine light on ?
Would it shake if you were coasting down a hill at 40 or 50 mph ?

Check the ball joints and cv axles this could cause the car to shake violently and most tire stores will check them for you for free.

Shifter shakes at 50 mph


It's most likely the drive shaft bearing which is in the center of the shaft mounted to the car. You can get a new one from Rapido and your problem could be solved. May want to consider looking at resolving the issue soon as the vibration will raise havoc with the drive train. A remote issue could be in the rear end itself whereby if someone drove the car most of it's life lugging the gears (standard transmission) the rear end gears tend to prematurely give out causing a similar condition. Best result is to simply find a new rear end at a salvage yard, just the center pod and replace. Good luck!
